Step back in time
Just a few seconds walk from Old Town Retreat lies the Tudor House. This beautifully preserved building is one of Margate’s oldest buildings and boasts stunning period features. The house is part of the Margate Museum, located a stone’s throw away, where you can learn about the town’s past from the Iron Age through to the present day.
Go out on a limb
For the best views in Margate combined with cool places to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a beer, head to the Harbour Arm, located adjacent to the Turner Contemporary Gallery. This vibrant area also home to the Margate Harbour Arm Gallery where you can see exciting local artists at work in their studios.
Margate is just 90 minutes by train, from London St Pancras. For those travelling by car, Margate is accessed via the A28 and M2, the property has a dedicated parking space. The Kent coast and Isle of Thanet can be explored by car, bus or rail, and there is also a scenic cycle route – the Viking Coastal Trail.
